The ultimate comfort food treat is a warm cookie with chocolate chips. This recipe is excellent for college students, but you might want to double it because once your housemates smell them baking, they'll all want one (or five).
Ingredients
- 120g softened butter
- 125g light brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 180g plain/all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 1 bar of chocolate
- salt
Let's cook
Set the oven to 180°C. Take a sizable bowl, add the butter and sugar, and combine everything with a wooden spoon. When it's creamy, beat in the egg and combine everything.
The flour, salt, and bicarbonate should then be added. The chocolate can be broken into little chips by being struck while it is still in the package or by being sliced into pieces with a sharp knife. When you add the chocolate pieces, give the mixture a good toss to ensure that the chocolate is dispersed throughout the dough evenly.
Take a baking sheet and cover it with greaseproof paper. After that, place dough balls on the tray, keeping them far enough apart from one another. After that, it spends 10 minutes in the oven.
When they are finished baking, remove them from the tray and let them cool before consuming.
